Three Chosen for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams

Three members of the MIAA-champion Hope College women's tennis team have been selected for the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators: senior Annika Weeber, junior Sullivan Moran and sophomore Amanda Lopykinski.

The program first recognizes women's tennis Academic All-District® honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

A select number of recipients, including Weeber, Moran and Lopykinski, advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later this summer.

Weeber (Rockford, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian HS) played No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles for the Flying Dutch.

The business and Spanish major finished with a 21-7 singles record and a 20-7 doubles record. Weeber claimed All-MIAA First Team honors.

Moran (Birmingham, Michigan / Wylie E. Groves) played No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Flying Dutch.

The political science major went 18-8 in singles and 23-6 in doubles. Moran received All-MIAA First Team honors.

Lopykinski (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township) played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for Hope.

The neuroscience major finished 19-7 in singles and 23-6 in doubles. Lopykinski was chosen as MIAA MVP and claimed All-MIAA First Team accolades.

The Division III CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs
