Three Selected to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams

Three members of the Hope College men's tennis team have been chosen for the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators: senior Justin Fay, senior John Voss and junior Austin Becksvoort.

The program first recognizes men's tennis Academic All-District® honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

A select number of recipients, including Becksvoort, advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later this summer.

Fay (Naperville, Illinois / St. Francis HS) played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Flying Dutchmen this season.

The computer science major went 13-10 in doubles play and 6-15 in singles. Fay earned All-MIAA First Team honors and was named the recipient of the MIAA's Allen B. Stowe Award for Sportsmanship.

Voss (Cincinnati, Ohio / St. Xavier) played No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles for Hope.

The business major posted an 8-9 singles record and an 8-12 doubles record.

Becksvoort (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) played No. 5 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Flying Dutchmen.

The chemistry and chemical engineering major finished with a 15-7 singles record and a 15-10 doubles record.

The Division III CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs
