Eight Claim All-MIAA Women's Track and Field Recognition

Eight members of the MIAA champion Hope College women's track and field team earned All-MIAA honors for the 2024 outdoor season: seniors Rebecca Markham and Erin Moran; juniors Greta Robrahn, Amanda Timonen and Jasmine Zimmerman; and sophomores Catherine Leahy, Sara Schermerhorn and Ava Schmidt.

Markham (Hoffman Estates, Illinois / William Fremd HS) claimed All-MIAA outdoor accolades for the first time.

The civil engineering major won the league title in the 10,000 meters for the first time  last week at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids.

Moran (Arlington Heights, Illinois / John Hersey) earned All-MIAA outdoor honors for the second consecutive season.

The secondary education major helped the Flying Dutch repeat as MIAA champions in the 4x400 relay during the league meet.

Robrahn (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland East) made the All-MIAA outdoor team for the first time.

The physical and health education major became MIAA champion in the shot put for the first time. 

Timonen (Palatine, Illinois / William Fremd) is an All-MIAA outdoor selection for the first time.

The special education major won the javelin at the league meet for the first time.

Zimmerman (Byron Center, Michigan / Home School) claimed All-MIAA outdoor honors for the first time.

The political science and philosophy major helped the Flying Dutch win the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

Leahy (Elk Rapids, Michigan / Elk Rapids) received All-MIAA outdoor accolades for the first time.

Leahy ran legs on the Flying Dutch's MIAA champion 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

Schermerhorn (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City West) earned All-MIAA outdoor recognition for the second consecutive season.

Schermerhorn won the MIAA's 400-meter title for the first time and anchored the Flying Dutch's league champion 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

Schmidt (Saline, Michigan / Saline) claimed her first All-MIAA honor in the 4x100 relay.
