Six Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large Teams

Six Hope College student-athletes have been named to the 2024 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators: Will Robson from MIAA champion men's golf, and Caden Brainard, Blaine Hynde, Andrew Lanham, Michael Mann and Jack McNamara from MIAA-champion men's lacrosse.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The program separately recognizes men's and women's at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

A select number of honorees, including Mann, advanced to the Division III Academic All-America® ballot. NCAA and NAIA Men's At-Large Academic All-America® first-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Mann (Plymouth, Michigan / University of Detroit Jesuit HS) graduated in May after majoring in public accounting and business. This is Mann's second Academic All-District® accolade.

As an attacker, Mann topped the Flying Dutchmen during his senior season with 49 goals and 71 points. The MIAA's Offensive MVP and All-MIAA First Team selection completed his career as Hope's all-time leader in goals with 199, assists with 113, and points and 312.

Brainard (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer) is a mechanical engineering major.

The face-off specialist earned All-MIAA honors for the second time this season as a junior. Brainard was a first-team selection while winning 59% of faceoffs (193-327).

Hynde (Muskegon, Michigan / Reeths-Puffer) graduated in May after majoring in mechanical engineering.

The midfielder claimed his second Academic All-District® award while scoring 10 goals during his senior season.

Lanham (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) is a biology major. The midfielder equaled his career-best with 11 goals during his junior season.

McNamara (Ada, Michigan / Forest Hills Central) topped the Flying Dutchmen with a 4.0 GPA. The midfielder finished with career-highs in goals with five and ground balls with eight.

Robson (Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids) graduated in May after majoring in business.

During his senior season, Robson earned his fourth All-MIAA honor with a second-team selection. Robson averaged 76.5 strokes over 108 holes of MIAA play this season.

The Division III CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions III Academic All-America® program.
