Three Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Baseball Teams

Three Hope College student-athletes have been chosen for the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators: senior Devin Meeuwsen, senior Graham O'Gorman and junior Al Money.

The program first recognizes baseball Academic All-District® honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

A select number of recipients advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later this summer.

Meeuwsen (Rockford, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian HS) is a mechanical engineering major who started 34 games at shortstop for the Flying Dutchmen. 

The right-handed hitting Meeuwsen finished with a .909 fielding percentage and matched his career-high with 16 RBIs.

O'Gorman (Champaign, Illinois / Champaign Central) is a political science and classical studies major who started 10 games on the mound for Hope.

The right-hander struck out 32 batters in 37 innings and won two games.

Money (Midland, Michigan / Midland) is a business and economics double major who started 37 games at third base for the Flying Dutchmen.

The right-handed hitter recorded a career-high .339 batting average with a career-best 41 hits and 27 RBIs.

The Division III CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs
