Men's Tennis Claims ITA All-Academic Team Accolade, 10 ITA Scholar Athletes

Ten members of the Hope College men's tennis team have been named 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes: graduated seniors Justin Fay and John Voss; juniors Austin Becksvoort, Jonathan Eggleston, Brendan Evert and Charlie Schmude; sophomore Hunter Napieralski; and freshmen Rylan Doden, Cooper Nugent, and Paul Schneider.

The Flying Dutchmen, led by head coach Austin Hunt, also claimed ITA All-Academic Team distinction.

Fay (Naperville, Illinois / St. Francis HS) graduated with a degree in computer science and claimed his second ITA Scholar-Athlete honor.

Voss (Cincinnati, Ohio / St. Xavier) earned his degree in business and is an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the first time.

Becksvoort (Holland, Michigan / Holland Christian) is pursuing a double major in chemistry and chemical engineering and has claimed ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades for the second consecutive season.

Eggleston (Yuseong Gu, Daejeon, South Korea / Taejon Christian International School) is a public accounting and business double major who is a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Evert (Sterling Heights, Michigan / Sterling Heights) is a mathematics major who is a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Schmude (Traverse City, Michigan / St. Francis) is a public accounting and business double major who is a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Napieralski (Chelsea, Michigan / Chelsea) is a biology major and a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Doden (Fort Wayne, Indiana / Blackhawk Christian) received his first ITA Scholar-Athlete award.

Nugent (Rochester Hills, Michigan / Rochester Adams) is a German major and a first-time ITA Scholar-Athlete recipient.

Schneider (Fishers, Indiana / Hamilton Southeastern) claimed his first ITA Scholar-Athlete accolade.
