Kylie Gernaat's 73, Rachael Jones' 74 Power Women's Golf at Midwest Region Classic

Sophomore Kylie Gernaat carded one of the top rounds during the final round of the Midwest Region Classic on Saturday.

The sophomore from Kalamazoo, Michigan (Kalamazoo Christian HS) fired a 1-over-par 73 to help the Hope College women's golf team finish 14th at the 33-team event.

The Flying Dutch recorded a team score of 325 after a first-round 339 on Friday.

Gernaat shot 10 strokes better than her opening round and tied for 22nd place in the 190-golfer field.

Sophomore Rachael Jones (Grove City, Ohio / Grove City) topped Hope with a 10th-place finish.

Jones posted a final-round 74 after a first-round 80.

Sophomore Jaiden Winters (New Carlisle, Indiana / New Prairie) chipped in an 82 on Saturday.

Junior Caydee Constant (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) carded a final-round 83.

Sophomore Allyson Zuidema (Northville, Michigan / Northville) shot an 85 on Saturday.

Senior Sarah Owens (Charlotte, Michigan / Charlotte) finished with an 86.

Hope's next tournament is Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Saint Mary's College at Elbel Park Golf Course in South Bend, Indiana.
