The regionally-ranked Hope College women's cross country team ran its fourth meet of the season and the second at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids on Saturday.
Amid a cloudy morning, the Flying Dutch finished sixth in the field of 10 teams with 170 points. NCAA Division III Saginaw Valley State University finished in first with 47.
Senior Madeline Kenney (Livonia, Michigan / Mercy HS) raced to a 25th-place time of 24 minutes, 47 seconds for Hope's top performance.
Sophomore Grace Baldauff (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania / Northgate) also placed in the top-30, coming in 26th place with a time of 24:48.
Freshman Maura Lichiello (Howell, Michigan / Howell) clocked a 25:14 run, good enough for 38th place.
Junior Claire Vellinga (Holland, Michigan / West Ottawa) finished 39th after running 25:16.
Sophomore Amanda Markham (Hoffman Estates, Illinois / William Fremd) crossed the line at 25:28 for 42nd place.
Junior Brooke Myers (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Forest Hills Northern) earned the 45th slot with a 25:42 race time.
Freshman Rylie Kraus (Howell, Michigan / Howell) finished in 25:44.
