The Hope College women's golf team completed the 36-hole, two-day Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament hosted by The University of Olivet in a tie for eighth place.
In a field of 14 teams and 92 golfers, the Flying Dutch matched Cleary University with a team score of 673 after carding a final-round 335 on Saturday.
Sophomore Jaiden Winters (New Carlisle, Indiana / New Prairie HS) led the Flying Dutch for the second day in a row by shooting a 7-over-par 79 at the Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan.Â
Winters finished tied for 12th place individually.Â
Junior Caydee Constant (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) shot an 83 for Hope's top group during Day 2.
Sophomore Kylie Gernaat (Kalamazoo, Michigan / Kalamazoo Christian) carded an 85.
Sophomore Allyson Zuidema (Northville, Michigan / Northville) chipped in an 88.Â
Senior Sarah Owens (Charlotte, Michigan / Charlotte) posted a 94.
Junior Hannah Finch (Dexter, Michigan / Dexter) also competed for the Flying Dutch and put up an 87 for her final round.
The Flying Dutch hit the links again on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. when they host the first MIAA Jamboree at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck.
