Rea (Macomb, Michigan / Utica) is the MIAA Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season and the second time in her career.
Feenstra (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) is the MIAA Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season and the second time in her career.
Perrine (Jackson, Michigan / Jackson) is the MIAA Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the first time.
Sawvel (Laramie, Wyoming / Centennial) is the MIAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the first time.
Oates (Liberty Township, Ohio / Cincinnati Christian) is the MIAA Volleyball Specialist of the Week for the first time in her career.
Rea scored three goals during two Flying Dutch wins last week, raising her season total to seven. The exercise science major scored twice in a 3-0 win at Trine University on Saturday and once in a 3-0 win vs. Albion College on Tuesday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
Feenstra posted shutouts against Albion and Trine, totaling 10 saves. The education major helped propel Hope to a 4-0 start in MIAA play and a five-match winning streak.
Perrine recorded a season-best 8K time of 26 minutes, 12.47 seconds at the Muskegon Community College Jayhawk Invitational on Saturday, placing 25th overall. It marked the first time he has paced Hope as the team's top finisher. With Perrine leading the way, Hope secured a fifth-place team finish out of 16 teams.
Sawvel clocked a personal-best 5K time of 18:37.51, finishing 11th overall at the Jayhawk Invitational and leading the Flying Dutch to a runner-up finish in the 16-team field. It marked the first time she has been Hope's top finisher.
Oates helped the nationally ranked Flying Dutch win three of four matches last week and improve to 3-0 in MIAA play, including a three-set victory at Adrian College. The exercise science major totaled 71 digs, 11 assists and five service aces.
