Two Hope College swimmers and one diver have earned MIAA Athlete of the Week accolades: sophomore

Emme D'Errico.
Hetherington (Jackson, Michigan / Lumen Christi) is the MIAA Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
Sanders (Wyoming, Michigan / Grandville) claimed MIAA Men's Diving Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season.
D'Errico (Farmington Hills, Michigan / Farmington) is the MIAA Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.
Hetherington helped the Flying Dutchmen's 400-yard freestyle relay record the second-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season on Saturday at the Grand Valley State University Invitational at Holland Aquatic Center.
The meet featured three NCAA Division III opponents. Hetherington's split of 45.89 seconds helped propel Hope to a third-place time of 3:03.11.
The Flying Dutchmen finished runner-up at the meet. Hetherington also clocked a 21.34 in the 50-yard freestyle and a personal-best 46.53 in the 100 free. He swam a 20.76 split while anchoring the 200 medley relay and recorded a 1:46.06 in the 200 free.
Sanders scored 239.30 points on the 3-meter board on Saturday at GVSU and 224.10 on the 1-meter board on Friday.
He also eclipsed 400 points in the 11-dive format for the first time in his career, narrowly missing the NCAA regional qualifying mark.
D'Errico recorded two of the nation's fastest swims in the 200-yard butterfly and the 500 free at GVSU.
