The 11th-ranked Hope College men's hockey team skated to a split in its weekend GL6 series with Grand Valley State University, winning 4-2 on home ice Friday before falling 5-2 on the road Saturday.
The Flying Dutchmen are now 13-3 in American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I play and 4-2 in conference play. Hope leads the GL6 standings with 12 points.
On Friday, Hope broke a 2-2 tie with two goals from sophomore right wing
Logan Nickolaus 90 seconds apart late in the third period. Nickolaus (Byron Center, Michigan / Byron Center / Wisconsin Windigo NAHL) scored the game-winner with 2:59 remaining in regulation.
Ninety seconds later, he added his team-leading and GL6-leading 12th goal of the season to seal the victory.

On Saturday, freshman right wing
Gerdas Paulauskas (Lisle, Illinois / Acellus Academy / Toledo Cherokee USPHL Premier) and Davis scored for Hope. Paulauskas also has 12 goals this season. GVSU rallied with four unanswered goals in the third period.
Hope's next game is Friday, Nov. 21, against Indiana Tech University at Mount Clemens Ice Arena. The game will be available on pay-per-view through BlackBear TV.
