Three from Volleyball Garner AVCA All-America Accolades

Three Hope College volleyball standouts have earned All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association: senior setter Lauren Lee, junior middle blocker Kamryn Burbridge, and sophomore middle blocker Olivia Wyma.

Lee (Plymouth, Michigan / Skyline) is one of 14 AVCA All-America First Team honorees for NCAA Division III.

Burbridge (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven) is one of 14 AVCA All-America Third Team selections.

Wyma (Hartland, Wisconsin / Arrowhead) received honorable mention recognition.

This is Lee's fourth All-America honor and the chemistry major's third first-team accolade. Earlier this season, Lee was named the AVCA Region 7 Player of the Year and the MIAA Most Valuable Player.

Lee led Hope to a third consecutive MIAA regular-season championship for the second time in program history. The Flying Dutch finished with a 23-7 overall record after reaching the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships.

Averaging 10.30 assists per set, Lee ranked 11th in the nation in the category and first among MIAA setters. She also reached a career milestone this season by surpassing 5,000 assists.

This is Burbridge's first AVCA All-America honor. The exercise science major recorded career highs in kills (287), kills per set (2.71), hitting percentage (.347), matches played (30), and sets played (106).

Burbridge also totaled 90 blocks, including 17 solo.

This is Wyma's first national honor. The biology major set career highs in kills (292), kills per set (2.70), hitting percentage (.380), total blocks (106), solo blocks (36), matches played (30), and sets played (108).
