The Hope College men's and women's basketball teams tip off their quests for MIAA Tournament titles and automatic NCAA Division III Tournament berths this week.
The Flying Dutchmen seek their fourth consecutive MIAA Tournament crown and 17th overall.Â
The Flying Dutch pursue their 19th MIAA Tournament title and fifth in six years.
The third-seeded Flying Dutchmen (14-11) take the court first, hosting sixth-seeded Adrian College (7-18) on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the website or at the door.
Hope swept both regular-season games from Adrian, winning 61-53 at DeVos Fieldhouse on Jan. 18 and 80-57 at Adrian on Feb. 12.
Wednesday's winner advances to play second-seeded Trine University in the semifinals on Friday, Feb. 28, at 5:30 p.m. at Calvin University.
The second-seeded Flying Dutch (21-4) earned a first-round bye.
Hope will play in the semifinals on Friday, Feb. 28, at 5:30 p.m. at Trine against either third-seeded Calvin University (15-10) or sixth-seeded Arian (7-18). Calvin and Adrian split their regular-season meetings.
