Two from Women's Track and Field Named MIAA Women's Outdoor Athletes of the Week

Two from Hope College have been chosen as MIAA Women's Athletes of the Week: Bridget Crombie and Catherine Leahy in women's outdoor track and field.

Crombie (Lansing, Michigan / Home School) is the MIAA Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the first time.

In the high jump, the sophomore cleared 1.50 meters (4-11) at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge, ranking her 24th in the nation.

Leahy (Elk Rapids, Michigan / Elk Rapids HS) is the MIAA Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the first time this season and the second time in her career.

The exercise science major excelled at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge last weekend, clocking the second-fastest time in the 400-meter dash at 56.59 seconds and the seventh-fastest 200 at 25.60. 

A junior, Leahy also ran on the 4x100 (:49.32) and 4x400 relays (4:09.82), ranking 12th and 16th in the nation, respectively.
