Center Gabe Quillan and Guard Jada Garner Earn D3hoops.com All-Region Honors

Two Hope College basketball standouts have been selected for the D3hoops.com All-Region Teams: center Gabe Quillan from the Flying Dutchmen and guard Jada Garner from the Flying Dutch.

Quillan (Ada, Michigan / Grand Rapids Catholic Central HS) is one of 15 men's selections in Region 7 and one of five second-team honorees.

Garner (Midland, Michigan / H.H. Dow) is one of 15 women's sections in Region 7 and one of five third-team recipients.

Sports information directors in each region nominated student-athletes. The ballot was voted on by SIDs and D3hoops.com staff and contributors. It is the 24th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.

Quillan is receiving the D3hoops.com honor for the first time.

The 6-9 Quillan topped the Flying Dutchmen in scoring and tied for first in the MIAA at 14.7 points per game.

A business major, Quillan also grabbed 8.0 rebounds per game, ranking third in the MIAA, and 1.7 blocks per game, ranking second.

Hope went 16-11 this season and made its fourth consecutive MIAA Tournament title game, finishing runner-up.

The 5-6 Garner is receiving her second D3hoops.com all-region accolade, making the first team as a junior.

The exercise science major averaged a career-best 9.8 points per game with career-highs in field-goal shooting (50.0%) and free-throw shooting (75.7%).

Garner also averaged 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per for the Flying Dutch, who finished with a 21-5 record.
