Junior Alexis Deighan Clocks Career-Best, 10,000-Meter Run at WashU Distance Carnival

Hope College women's track and field runner Alexis Deighan clocked a career-best run in the 10,000 meters at the Washington University in St. Louis Distance Carnival on Friday.

The junior from Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm HS) recorded a time of 40 minutes, 17.72 seconds on Friday and finished 81st in a 99-runner field.

Three more Flying Dutch runners raced during the non-scoring meet.

Senior Maddy Struck (Hainesville, Illinois / Grayslake Central) posted Hope's highest finish, taking 33rd out of 36 runners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday with a time of 11:34.38.

The Flying Dutch's next meet is Friday-Saturday, April 4-5, at Grand Valley State University.
