Women's Track and Field Tops Indoor 4x400 Relay School Record at Wartburg

The Hope College women's track and field team eclipsed the indoor school record in the 4x400 relay on Saturday.

The Flying Dutch recorded a run of 3 minutes, 52.51 seconds during the Wartburg College (Iowa) Last Chance Meet.

Junior Catherine Leahy (Elk Rapids, Michigan / Elk Rapids HS), junior Frances Cozzens (Lyman, New Hampshire / Saint Johnsbury Academy), freshman Sofia Fisher (Lombard, Illinois / Montini Catholic) and junior Sara Schermerhorn (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City West) surpassed the previous record of 3:53.55 clocked by Leahy, Schermerhorn, Jasmine Zimmerman and Erin Moran in 2024.

The relay ranked as the 18th-fastest in NCAA Division III this season.

In the 800 meters, sophomore Amanda Markham (Hoffman Estates, Illinois / William Fremd) took 12th with a run of 2:23.44.
