Women's Lacrosse Scores Season-High 24 Goals in Victory at Alma

The Hope College women's lacrosse team took a high-scoring offense on the road.

The Flying Dutch marched to a 24-1 victory at Alma College on Saturday, recording the highest-scoring game of the season and tying for the fourth most in program history. The school record is 27.

Hope (7-5, 3-0 MIAA) remained one of two MIAA teams unbeaten in league play. Trine University is 4-0 against MIAA opponents.

The Flying Dutch host Trine on Wednesday, April 16, at 4 p.m at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

Eleven different goal scorers powered Hope, which jumped to a 10-0 first-quarter lead.

Six Flying Dutch collected multi-goal games, including three with four goals apiece: junior Julia Brown (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Forest Hills Central HS), freshman Brynn Collins (Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan / University Liggett) and freshman Madison Pyle (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford).

Collins and Pyle set career highs for goals. Collins added an assist for a career-high five points.

Senior Juli Kirkpatrick (Granger, Indiana / Penn) chipped in three goals.

Freshman Elliana Hillard (DeWitt, Michigan / DeWitt) scored twice and contributed two assists.

Sophomore Dani Dahlinger (Mattawan, Michigan / Mattawan) netted two goals.

Senior Kerrigan Brown (DeWitt, Michigan / DeWitt) topped the Flying Dutch with three assists and added one goal.

Hope held Alma (4-7, 0-5 MIAA) scoreless for the first 3 ½ quarters.
