Five Claim Spots on USTFCCCA Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-Region Teams

Five Hope College women's runners have received all-region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2025 outdoor season: senior Jasmine Zimmerman; and juniors Frances Cozzens, Molly Durow, Catherine Leahy and Sara Schermerhorn.

Schermerhorn (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City West HS) led the Flying Dutch with all-region accolades in three events: 200 meters, 400 meters and 4x400 relay. The exercise science major was the MIAA champion in both individual events.

Cozzens (Lyman, New Hampshire / Saint Johnsbury Academy) and Zimmerman (Byron Center, Michigan / Home School) both claimed the distinction in the 4x400 relay, which was the MIAA champ.

Leahy (Elk Rapids, Michigan / Elk Rapids) made all-region in the 400 meters and 4x400 relay.

Durow (Glenview, Illinois / Glenbrook South) earned all-region honors in the 800 meters. The elementary education major was the MIAA champion in the event.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region, and each member of the top-3 ranked relay teams from USTFCCCA-member programs, are honored. Hope is in the Great Lakes Region.
