Women's Golf Places Fifth in Inaugural MIAA Women's Golf Coaches Preseason Poll

The Hope College women's golf team aims to climb the MIAA standings during the 2025-26 season after placing fifth in the inaugural nine-team MIAA Women's Golf Coaches Preseason Poll.

Coaches could not vote for their own teams. Saint Mary's College topped the poll with 11 points and five first-place votes.

Trine University finished runner-up with 15 points and four first-place votes. Adrian College (27 points), Calvin University (28), Hope (32), Kalamazoo College (44), Albion College (48), Alma College (58) and the University of Olivet (61) rounded out the standings.

Led by head coach Megan Radaz '22, the Flying Dutch open the 2025-26 season Friday-Saturday, Sept. 5-6, at Olivet's Kyle Campbell Memorial Invitational at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan.

Hope returns three of its leading scorers: senior Sara Muir (Ada, Michigan/Grand Rapids Christian HS), junior Jaiden Winters (New Carlisle, Indiana/New Prairie) and junior Allyson Zuidema (Northville, Michigan/Northville).

Winters posted a team-best 84.67 stroke average in MIAA rounds last season. Zuidema averaged 85.97, while Muir finished at 89.33.

MIAA teams will play four 18-hole rounds in the fall and one 36-hole event in the spring to determine the league champion.
