The Hope College women's basketball team will begin the NCAA Division III Championships with a home-court advantage.
The MIAA Tournament champion Flying Dutch will host first- and second-round games Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, at DeVos Fieldhouse. The NCAA announced the 64-team national field Monday.
The NCAA has set tip-off times for Friday's first-round games:
- 6 p.m., Illinois Wesleyan (22-5) vs.Washington & Jefferson (22-6);
- 8:30 p.m., Hope (24-3) vs. Penn State Behrend (22-5).
Ticket information will be announced later this week.
Hope is competing in the national postseason for the 25th time in program history.
The Flying Dutch last competed in the NCAA Tournament in 2024, reaching the third round before losing at Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Hope is one of four Division III programs to have claimed three or more national championships. The Flying Dutch previously won Division III titles in 2022 in Pittsburgh; 2006 in Springfield, Massachusetts; and 1990 at home at the Holland Civic Center.
Sixteen first- and second-round sites will be conducted. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites March 13-14.
Winners of the four sectional sites will advance to the national semifinals and championship game March 19 and 21. All games, except the semifinals and final, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. The semifinals and final will be played at the Cregger Center in Salem, Virginia, hosted by the City of Salem and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
