Men’s Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

The Hope College men's basketball team had a successful season on and off the court.

The MIAA Tournament champion Flying Dutchmen earned the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Led by Head Coach Greg Mitchell, Hope recorded a 3.42 GPA during the academic year. The Flying Dutchmen reached the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament and finished with an 18-10 overall record.

It was Hope's fourth MIAA Tournament title and NCAA Championship appearance in five seasons.
