Hope College men's lacrosse defender John Foster has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week.

The senior from Ada, Mich. (Forest Hills Central) excelled during two Flying Dutchmen victories last week, which pushed their record to 11-0 and continued the best start in program history.

During a 14-7 road victory at Transylvania on March 31, Foster recorded a team-best four ground balls while forcing a game-high five turnovers. Transylvania has qualified for the NCAA Championships in each of the past two seasons.

On Saturday, the exercise science major helped Hope post a 14-1 win at home against Kalamazoo College in the MIAA opener by totaling a game-high seven ground balls and adding two caused turnovers.
