Women’s Swim/Dive Places Seven on CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

Seven members of the MIAA champion Hope College women's swimming and diving team have been chosen for the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association Scholar All-America Team, presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps, for the 2025-26 season.

All are first-team honorees: swimmers Makenzie Baldwin, Greta Gidley, Katie Hermann, Madi Remenschneider, Bella Turner, and Laurel Wasiniak, and diver Laura Zupancic.

To qualify for the first-team Scholar All-America honor, student-athletes must have a 3.5 grade-point average or higher and have participated in their national championship. Second-team selections must also have a 3.5 grade-point average or higher and have met an NIC "A" time standard in Division I, an NCAA "B" qualifying standard for the national championship, or qualified for a diving zone meet in Division II, Division III, or the NAIA.

Baldwin is a business major from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS). The freshman claimed CSCAA All-American accolades in one swimming event this season, won MIAA titles in six events, and earned All-MIAA distinction.

Gidley is an elementary education major from Franklin, Michigan (Mercy HS). The fifth-year recent graduate captured an NCAA swimming title in the 200-yard individual medley, claimed CSCAA All-American accolades in five more events, and earned MIAA titles in six events en route to receiving MIAA Most Valuable Women's Swimmer distinction for the second time.

Hermann is an exercise science major from Canton, Michigan (Mercy HS). The recent graduate swam to CSCAA All-America accolades in one swimming event and claimed All-MIAA honors.

Remenschneider is a psychology major from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS). The recent graduate captured CSCAA All-America distinction in one swimming event and earned All-MIAA accolades.

Turner is a psychology major from Chelsea, Michigan (Chelsea HS). The recent graduate swam to CSCAA All-America honors in three swimming events this season, captured MIAA titles in two events, and claimed All-MIAA distinction.

Wasiniak is a chemical engineering major from Northville, Michigan (Northville HS). The recent graduate garnered CSCAA All-American accolades and MIAA championships in five events while also earning All-MIAA honors. 

Zupancic is an exercise science major from Fort Collins, Colorado (Liberty Common). The junior diver competed at the NCAA Division III National Championships and claimed All-MIAA distinction.
