Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award for the 18th Consecutive Time

The 2025 MIAA regular-season champion and nationally ranked Hope College volleyball team served up academic success and competitive excellence, repeating as an American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award recipient.

It is the 18th consecutive year the Flying Dutch have earned the distinction.

The AVCA Team Academic Award is presented to teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

Led by head coach Becky Schmidt, Hope finished the 2025 season with a 23-7 record after reaching the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships and three-peating as MIAA regular-season champion for the second time in program history.
