Men's Cross Country

Flying Dutchmen Place 14th At 37-Team Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invite

 

The Hope men's cross country team ran to a 14th-place score of 406 points at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational on Saturday.

North Central (Ill.) won the 37-team event with 33 points.

Junior Ben Zank of Midland (H.H. Dow HS) topped the Flying Dutchmen by scoring 46th with a time of 25 minutes, 44 seconds.

Hope also received points from senior Sam Pederson of Mount Prospect, Ill. (Prospect HS) in 68th at 26:01), senior James Rogers of Saginaw (Valley Lutheran HS) in 86th at 26:13), sophomore Joseph Beemer of St. Joseph (St. Joseph HS) in 92nd at 26:17) and junior Zach Zandbergen of Grandville (Grandville HS) in 114th at 26:34). 

The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Nov. 2, when it hosts the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships at West Ottawa Golf Course.
