Hope forward Raisa Yewah and goalkeeper Kat Dickson have been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer Players of the Week in women's soccer for games through October 26.
Yewah, a senior from East Lansing (Okemos HS), scored three goals, including two game-winning tallies, in leading the Flying Dutch to a pair of victories that moved them into first place in the MIAA race. She scored the game's first goal in a 3-0 victory over Olivet, then scored twice in a 3-0 road win at Alma.
Yewah is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Dickson, a junior from Grayslake, Ill. (Grayslake Central HS), had back-to-back shutout performances in goal in leading Hope to two MIAA wins and sole possession of first place in the conference. She made three saves in a 3-0 win over Olivet and had five saves in a 3-0 blanking of Alma.
Dickson is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
