The Hope women's swimming & diving team defeated Olivet 122-72 on Saturday in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) action at the Dow Center.

The Flying Dutch won eight events, including the 200-yard medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Sophomore Sarah Sheridan of Richmond, Ind. (Richmond HS) swept 1-meter diving with a score of 244.25 points and 3-meter diving by totaling 281.9 points.

Sophomore Klare Northuis of Holland (Holland HS) took first in the 200 freestyle by swimming 2:01.62.

Sophomore Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell (Plainwell HS) posted the top time in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.15.

Freshman Molly Meyer of South Bend, Ind. (John Adams HS) swam to a winning 200 backstroke time of 2:13.03.

Sophomore Ginny Cotterall of Spring Lake (Spring Lake HS) won the 500 freestyle in 5:33.38.
