The Hope women's swimming & diving team finished fifth at the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Invitational this weekend.
The Flying Dutch scored 240 points during the 10-team event.
Sophomore Sarah Sheridan took second Hope in 3-meter diving with 420.4 points. Three teammates finished behind her — junior Erica Dunham in third at 378.25, sophomore Elizabeth Eader in fourth at 353.85 and sophomore Stephanie Polet in fifth at 313.15.
Others to place for Hope were sophomore Jorgie Watson in the 100 breaststroke in sixth at 1:09.45, the 200 freestyle relay of sophomore Michelle Hance, sophomore Hannah Larson, freshman Mikayla Freyling, and sophomore Klare Northuis in sixth at 1:41.66, freshman Molly Meyer in the 200 backstroke in seventh at 2:12.05, sophomore Lindsay Wiederhold in the 200 butterfly in seventh at 2:14.93, and the 400 freestyle relay of senior Maria Kieft, Watson, Meyer and Northuis in seventh at 4:09.14.
