The Hope women's swimming & diving team won eight events to key a 160-139 win at Kalamazoo on Saturday in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) dual meet action.
Hope went 1-2 in 1- and 3-meter diving.
Junior Erica Dunham of Rockford (Rockford HS) won the 1-meter with a score of 220.9 points, while sophomore Sarah Sheridan of Richmond, Ind. (Richmond HS) was second at 209.65.
Sheridan topped the 3-meter board with 267.85 points. Dunham took second at 209.0.
Sophomore Jorgie Watson of Grand Rapids (Catholic Central HS), pictured at right, won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.78.
Sophomore Klare Northuis of Holland (Holland HS) won the 100 freestyle in 54.47.
Sophomore Hannah Larson of Jackson (Jackson HS) went the fastest in the 200 backstroke at 2:13.87.
Sophomore Michelle Hance of Noblesville, Ind. (Noblesville HS) took first in the 200 breaststroke at 2:32.48.
Sophomore Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell (Plainwell HS) won the 500 freestyle in 5:22.99.
The Flying Dutch finished off the meet with a top 400 freestyle relay time of 3:42.18. Hance, freshman Mikayla Freyling of Alton (Grand Rapids South Christian HS), Larson and Northuis comprised the winning relay.
