Four student-athletes will etch their names along with others who have helped forge the rich tradition of Hope volleyball as captains — senior middle hitter Courtney Earles of Kentwood (East Kentwood HS), junior outside hitter Jenna Grasmeyer of Hudsonville (Unity Christian HS), senior middle hitter Mari Schoolmaster of Portage (Portage Central HS) and junior middle hitter Jillian Sommerville of Plymouth (Salem HS).

Earles and Grasmeyer are exercise science majors, while Schoolmaster and Somerville are comprehensive education K-8 majors.
