Returning All-American the Flying Dutch will have in their lineup this season. Junior outside hitter Jenna Grasmeyer of Hudsonville (Unity Christian HS) received American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First Team honors in 2012. Grasmeyer set a Hope single season mark for kills per set at 4.36, a mark that also was fifth best in the nation. She also ranked eighth in NCAA Division III in points per set at 5.01.

Number of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships for the Flying Dutch. Nine are outright — 2009, 2008, 2005, 2000, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1987 and 1975. Two are shared — 2010 and 2011.

Number of kills per set for the Flying Dutch during the 2012 season, tops among 420 NCAA Division III teams. Hope also ranked No. 1 in assists in per set at 12.82, eighth in hitting percentage at .268 and 32nd in blocks per set at 2.12.

Number of Hope players to claim MIAA Most Valuable Player honors since all-league honors began in 1982. The MVPs are Linda Percy (1983), DeeAnn Knoll (1987), Becky Schmidt (1997 and 1998), Amy Brower (2001) and Andrea Helmeniak (2009).
