The Hope College men's golf team won a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree for the second time this season, shooting a team score of 301 on Wednesday in Battle Creek.
The Flying Dutchmen regained the overall lead in the MIAA standings after the third of eight 18-hole tournaments. They are in front of second-place Calvin College by three strokes.
Freshman Winton Munch of Traverse City (Traverse City Central HS) shot a 2-over-par 73 at Bedford Valley Country Club to lead Hope. He tied for second in the individual standings.
Junior Ben Lanting of Littleton, Colo. (Front Range Christian) placed in a tie for fourth with a 74.
Junior Collin Breit of Muskegon (Western Michigan Christian HS) and junior Evan Telzerow of Grand Rapids (Forest Hills Northern HS) tied for seventh as they both shot 77s.
Junior Ben Lewis of Grand Haven (Grand Haven HS) had an 85 for Hope.
