The Hope College men's cross country team finished 24th at the 45-team Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational on Saturday. The Flying Dutchmen totaled 727 points.
Senior Ben Zank of Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow HS), topped Hope with an 82nd-place, 8K run of 25 minutes, 52 seconds.
Junior Joseph Beemer of St. Joseph, Michigan (St. Joseph HS), came in 136th at 26:24. Beemer is pictured at right.
Sophomore Tyler Brinks of Commerce Township, Michigan (Walled Lake Northern HS), recorded a 163rd-place effort of 26:44.
Sophomore Julian Morrison of Aurora, Illinois (Waubonsie Valley HS), finished 167th in 26:47.
Freshman Ben Pederson of Mount Prospect, Illinois (Prospect HS), rounded out Hope's scoring with a 179th-place run of 27:00.
Others to run for Hope were junior Noah Litwiller of Delavan, Illinois (Olympia HS), in 200th at 27:19 and sophomore Cameron Jones of Holland, Michigan (Black River HS), in 209th at 27:28.
NCAA Division III powerhouse North Central (Illinois) won with 36 points.
Hope returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships hosted by Calvin College.
