The Hope College women's swimming and diving team defeated Alma 171-120 in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet on Saturday at Kresge Natatorium.
The Flying Dutch won 12 events.
Junior Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell, Michigan (Plainwell HS), took first in the 1,000 freestyle. She posted a time of 11:10.90.
Freshman Chloe Palajac of Dearborn, Michigan (Dearborn HS), won the 200 freestyle in 2:01.67 and the 200 individual medley in 2:14.61.
Junior Klare Northuis of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), topped the field in the 100 backstroke by swimming 1:02.11.
Junior Jorgie Watson of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Catholic Central HS), won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.49 and the 500 freestyle in 5:36.74.
Sophomore Molly Meyer of South Bend, Indiana (John Adams HS), posted the top time in the 200 butterfly 2:27.22.
Freshman Amy Larsen of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS), took first in the 50 freestyle. She had a time of 25.46.
Junior Sarah Sheridan of Richmond, Indiana (Richmond HS), won 1-meter diving with a score of 259.3 points and 3-meter diving with a score of 295.50.
Freshman Rachel Barszcz of Canton, Michigan (Plymouth Christian HS), clocked the fastest time in the 100 backstroke at 2:25.55.
Junior Michelle Hance of Noblesville, Indiana (Noblesville HS), placed first in the 100 breaststroke at 2:38.43.
Hope won the 400 freestyle relay. Junior Hannah Larson of Jackson, Michigan (Jackson HS), Larsen, Hance and Northuis went 3:48.55.
The Flying Dutch return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, when they have a dual meet at Olivet. Start time is 1 p.m.
