Hope College diver Sarah Sheridan has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for meets through Oct. 25.

The junior from Richmond, Indiana, (Richmond HS), qualified for the NCAA Division III diving regionals by winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives in Hope's 171-120 MIAA dual meet victory against Alma on Saturday.

Sheridan posted a score of 295.50 points in the 3-meter dive and a 259.30 on the 1-meter board.

Sheridan, who was last year's MIAA Most Valuable Diver, is being honored as Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.

Hope returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, when the Flying Dutch swim at Olivet. Start time is 1 p.m.
