Three captains will lead the Hope College women's swimming & diving team during the 2014-15 season: senior Lauren Girard, junior Sarah Sheridan and junior Lindsay Wiederhold.

Girard is from Rockford, Michigan (Rockford HS). She is majoring in psychology and sociology. She was a captain during the 2013-14 season.

Sheridan is from Richmond, Indiana (Richmond HS). She is studying physics education and mathematics education.

Sheridan is a returning NCAA Division III All-American in 3- and 1-meter diving after finishing seventh in both events last season.  She was Hope's first All-American in 3-meter diving.

Wiederhold is from Plainwell, Michigan (Plainwell HS). Her major is biology.

Wiederhold is a two-time All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association honoree.

Hope opens the 2014-15 season when the Flying Dutchmen host the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletics Association Relays on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Holland Community Aquatic Center.
