The Hope College women's swimming & diving team downed Olivet 137-52 in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual meet on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch are now 2-0 in dual meets this season.
Sophomore Molly Meyer of South Bend, Indiana (John Adams HS), placed first in the 100 butterfly at 1 minute, 2.49 seconds and the 100 breaststroke at 1:13.52.
Freshman Chloe Palajac of Dearborn, Michigan (Dearborn HS), posted the top time in the 200 individual medley at 2:14.89 and the 100 backstroke at 1:05.48.
Junior Jorgie Watson of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Catholic Central HS), won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:38.45.
Freshman Rachel Barszcz of Canton, Michigan (Plymouth Canton HS), finished first in the 50 freestyle in 27.15.
Junior Stephanie Polet of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS), won 1-meter diving with a score of 229.4 points.
Junior Michelle Hance of Noblesville, Indiana (Noblesville HS), clocked the fastest time in the 500 freestyle at 5:36.94.
The Flying Dutch won the 200 medley relay with Hance, senior Taryn Gras of Zeeland, Michigan (Zeeland East HS), Palajac and freshman Amy Larsen of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS), going 1:56.48 and the 200 freestyle relay with junior Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell, Michigan (Plainwell HS), freshman Julie Hines of Vienna, Virginia (James Madison HS), junior Hannah Larson of Jackson, Michigan (Jackson HS), and junior Klare Northuis of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), going 1:46.24.
Hope next competes on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Flying Dutch host Kalamazoo for a MIAA dual meet. Start time is 1 p.m. at Kresge Natatorium.
