Hope College volleyball player Jenna Grasmeyer is now a three-time All-American.
The senior outside hitter from Jenison, Michigan (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS), repeated again as an American Volleyball Coaches Association First Team All-American, the AVCA announced today.
Teammate Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS), is an AVCA Second Team All-American.
Senior Amy VanderStoep of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS), made the AVCA All-America honorable mention list.
Grasmeyer is Hope's first multiple All-American. She also claimed the AVCA honors in 2013 and 2012.
Grasmeyer has 430 kills in 33 matches this season for a team-leading 3.91 per set. Her hitting percentage is .310.
Grasmeyer became Hope's all-time leader in kills and points this season.
Hazekamp, Hope's setter, has recorded 10.81 assists and 2.66 digs per set this season.
VanderStoep, an outside hitter, is averaging 2.40 kills per set this season.
Grasmeyer, Hazekamp and VanderStoep helped the Flying Dutch earn a share of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title with Calvin and advance to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals for the second consecutive season and third time in school history.
Second-ranked Hope plays No. 15 Clarkson, N.Y., on Friday, Nov. 21, at 5:30 p.m. in Newport News, Virginia.
