The Hope College women's swimming & diving team won five events while finishing second at the Wabash College Patrick Woehnker Invitational on Saturday.

The Flying Dutch totaled 725 points over the two-day meet in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Hope swept the top four spots in 1-meter and 3-meter diving.

In 1-meter diving, junior Sarah Sheridan of Richmond, Indiana (Richmond HS), finished first with a score of 255.65 points. She was followed by senior Erica Dunham of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford HS), with a score of 226.85, junior Stephanie Polet of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS), at 198.15 points, and sophomore Sarah Carrara of Dexter, Michigan (Chelsea HS), at 165.15.

In 3-meter diving, Sheridan won with a total of 262.55 points. She was followed by Dunham at 224.70, Polet at 184.50 and Carrara at 159.55.

Hope won the 200 medley relay. Junior Klare Northuis of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), junior Jorgie Watson of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Catholic Central HS), sophomore Molly Meyer of South Bend, Indiana (John Adams HS), and senior Emily Weber of Milan, Michigan (Milan HS), went 1:53.41.

Watson won the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.61 and the 200 breaststroke at 2:34.33.

Meyer was second in the 100 backstroke at 1:01.36. She was third in the 200 backstroke at 2:17.24.

Freshman Chloe Palajac of Dearborn, Michigan (Dearborn HS), placed second in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:43.66 in the 200 butterfly at 2:15.06.

Junior Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell, Michigan (Plainwell HS), finished runner-up in the 200 freestyle. She had a time of 2:00.36. She also was second in the 1,650 freestyle at 18:30.53.

Hope competes next at the Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5-6, at the Wheaton College Invitational.
