The Hope College women's swimming & diving team is seeded first in three events for this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships.
The four-day meet at Calvin College begins Wednesday, February 12, and concludes on Saturday, February 15.

Below, Hope seniors Bethany Schmall of Portage (Portage Central HS) and Maria Kieft of Spring Lake (Spring Lake HS) talk about the Flying Dutch heading into the MIAA Championships.
Coach John Patnott's Flying Dutch hold the top seed in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a seed time of 1 minute, 38.38 seconds.
Sophomore Lindsay Wiederhold of Plainwell (Plainwell HS), pictured above right. is the top seed in the 200 butterfly with a seed time of 2:09.82.
Wiederhold also is seeded second in the 500 freestyle at 5:09.21 and second in the 400 individual medley at 4:42.55.
Sophomore Jorgie Watson of Grand Rapids (Catholic Central HS) is seeded first in the 200 breaststroke with a seed time of 2:25.07. Teammate Michelle Hance of Noblesville, Ind. (Nobesville HS) is third in the event at 2:28.77.
Watson holds the second seed in the 100 breaststroke at 1:06.34. Hance is fourth at 1:08.42.
Divers Sarah Sheridan of Richmond, Ind. (Richmond HS), and Erica Dunham of Rockford (Rockford HS) are seeded second and fourth in 3-meter diving. Their top scores are 420.40 and 378.25 points, respectively.
Hope holds the second seed in the 800 freestyle relay at 7:56.77, the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:48.91, the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:03.51 and the 400 freestyle relay at 3:36.46.
Sophomore Klare Northuis of Holland (Holland HS) is third in the 50 freestyle at 24.77. Freshman Molly Meyer of South Bend, Ind. (John Adams HS), is third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.86.
The MIAA Championships will feature one session on Wednesday that begins at 7 p.m. Events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will offer 10 a.m. preliminaries and 5:30 p.m. finals each day.
