The Hope College men's track & field team won four events while taking third place at the Calvin College Invitational on Saturday.
The Flying Dutchmen totaled 103 points to finish behind Aquinas College (155) and Calvin College (151).
Senior Steffon Mayhue of Holland (Holland HS) won the long jump by leaping 6.57 meters.
Senior David Dolfin of Hingham, Wis. (Oostburg HS), pictured at left, took first in the triple jump with a leap of 12.88 meters.
Freshman Cameron Jones of Holland (Black River HS) claimed the 800-meter title with a time of 2:00.56. Sophomore Matthew Webb of Grand Rapids (Grandville HS) was sixth at 2:06.24.
Senior James Rogers of Saginaw (Valley Lutheran HS) won the 1-mile run with a time of 4:24.89.
Junior Zachary Zandbergen of Grandville (Grandville HS) finished runner-up in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:12.84. Senior Tim Lewis of South Haven (South Haven HS) came in fourth at 9:38.84.
Senior Evan Finch of Ann Arbor (Pioneer HS) placed third in the shot put with a toss of 12.47 meters. Keenan Erickson was sixth at 12.02 meters.
Junior Zach Brandwein of Crystal Lake, Ill. (Central HS), tied for second in the high jump with a 1eap of 1.85 meters. Senior Jesse Hinkel of Erie (Mason HS) also scored with a sixth-place leap of 1.70 meters.
Sophomore Boone Marois of Traverse City (Central HS) posted a third-place time in the 60 meters of 7.08.
Senior Joshua Kammeraad of Bethel Park, Pa. (Bethel Park HS) placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:44.55.
Hope's 4 by 400 relay took fourth. Freshman Ryan Arndt of Holland (Zeeland West HS), Rogers, Dolfin and senior Matthew Johnson of White Lake (Saint Mary's Prep) went 3:37.50.
Sophomore Alexsandrs Molenaar of East Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS) finished fifth in the 1,000 meters by running a time of 3:04.66.
