The Hope College men's track & field team posted one second-place performance and two fourth-place ones during the Grand Valley State University Tune-up meet on Friday in Allendale.
The non-scoring meet was held indoors.
Senior James Rogers of Saginaw (Valley Lutheran HS) finished runner-up in the 1 mile run. He had a time of 4 minutes, 13.60 seconds.
Senior Steffon Mayhue of Holland (Holland HS) placed fourth in the long jump. He had a leap of 21 feet, 9 inches.
Senior David Dolfin of Hingham, Wis. (Ootsburg HS), took fourth in the triple jump. He had a leap of 41 feet, 3 ¾ inches. Teammate Luke Washington, a sophomore from Bolingbrook, Ill. (Timothy Christian HS), was fifth at 38-9 ¾.
Junior Benjamin Zank of Midland (H.H. Dow HS) came in sixth in the 5,000 meters. He had a run of 15:27.27.
Freshman Ross Whitman of Monroe (Saint Mary Catholic Central HS) finished seventh in the 60 hurdles. He posted a time of 9.02 seconds.
