Hope College's Sarah Sheridan has qualified for the NCAA Division III National championships in 3-meter diving.
The sophomore from Richmond, Ind. (Richmond HS), took fourth place during the Division III regional championship on Friday at Denison (Ohio) University.
Sheridan posted an 11-dive score of 453.05 points. The top seven finishes from the 22 women's diver regional field advanced to nationals.
Teammate Erica Dunham placed 13th. The junior from Rockford (Rockford HS) had a score of 406.55 points.
Freshman Jean-Luc Miralda of Tegucialpa, Honduras (American HS), finished 19th in men's 1-meter diving. He recorded an 11-dive score of 402.10 points.
The two-day regional resumes today with 1-meter for women and 3-meter for men.
