Hope College is sending four women's swimmers and one women diver to the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships later this month in Bloomington, Ind.
Mikayla Freyling, Michelle Hance, Molly Meyer, Klare Northuis and Sarah Sheridan are going to compete in the Wednesday-Saturday, March 19-22 meet at the University of Indiana.
Sheridan has qualified in 1- and 3-meter diving for coach John Patnott's Flying Dutch. The sophomore from Richmond, Ind. (Richmond HS), was named 2014 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Diver of the Year after winning both the 1- and 3-meter events last month.
Freyling, Hance, Meyer and Northuis qualified in the 200-meter freestyle relay. This allows them to also swim the 400 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay at nationals.
Individually, Meyer will compete in the 200 backstroke at nationals. Meyer is a freshman from South Bend, Ind. (John Adams HS).
Hance is a sophomore from Noblesville, Ind. (Noblesville HS).
Northuis is a sophomore from Holland (Holland HS).
Freyling is a freshman from Alto (Grand Rapids South Christian HS).
