The Hope College women's tennis team lost its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener on Tuesday at Dewitt Tennis Center.

The Flying Dutch fell to 5-4 to visiting Kalamazoo College after the Hornets picked up the final two points with three-set victories.

Both teams entered the match ranked regionally, with Hope seventh and Kalamazoo 13^th.
