Two Women's Tennis Teammates Named to Academic All-District Team

Hope College women's tennis teammates Amanda Lopykinski and Kaitlyn Stievater have been chosen for the 2026 Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team for NCAA Division III, selected by the College Sports Communicators organization.

Eligible nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition.

Lopykinski and Stievater helped the Flying Dutch earn a 14th consecutive MIAA Tournament championship and a regular-season championship three-peat. Hope advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships before finishing with an 

This is Lopykinski's third Academic All-District selection. The senior from Lemont, Illinois (Lemont Township) is a neuroscience major who played the top singles and doubles flights and received All-MIAA First Team distinction for the fourth time.

Lopykinski posted a 20-7 singles record and a 16-12 doubles record.

Stievater claimed her first Academic All-District accolade. The sophomore political science major from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Wylie E. Groves) went 18-10 in doubles matches and 9-9 in singles.
