Tim Simon recorded
the top performance for the Hope College men's track & field
team during the Michigan State University Spartan Invitational on
Saturday.
The junior from Richland (Gull Lake HS) clocked a seventh-place
time in the 800 meters of 1 minute, 57.76 seconds. It was a
non-scoring meet
Teammate Cameron Jones,
a freshman from Holland (Black River HS, finished 13th in
1:58.66.
Others to place for Hope in the event were sophomore Noah
Litwiller of Delavan, Ill. (Olympia HS) in 15th at 1:59.41
and sophomore Kyle Anderson
of Shorewood, Minn. (Minnetonka HS), in 17th at 2:00.15.
Senior James Rogers of
Saginaw (Valley Lutheran HS) took 13th in the 1,500 meters. He
had a time of 4:00.66.
In the 5,000 meters, junior Zach
Zandbergen of Grandville (Grandville HS) placed 21st with
a run of 15:48.16 and sophomore Matthew
Rolain of Rochester (Stoney Creek HS) was 30th at
16:15.33.
