The Hope College women's tennis swept visiting Alma College on Wednesday, winning 9-0 at VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium Courts.

The regionally ranked Flying Dutch improved to 9-4 overall in dual matches and 2-1 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.

At No. 1 singles, sophomore Claire Cooper of Williamston (Williamston HS) topped Megan Solano 6-2, 6-4.

At No. 1 doubles, junior Carli Capestany of Hudsonville (Hudsonville HS) and freshman Nancy Benda of Birmingham (Seaholm HS) won 8-3 over Alma's Megan Solano and Morgan Waier.
